Amateur Photography Q&A

Dear readers.

Most of you are my friends and customers while some are just visitors on their path to enlightenment. I’ve been working on this blog for over a year and I’ve shared some of my work, technique, ideas and vision with you.

Now I’m looking for you to tell me what’s interesting to my readers that I’ve not yet discussed. These topics can include photographic ideas, suggestions, questions about something you’ve tried or thinking of trying … and anything else digital photography related.

Here are some ideas I’ve been compiling for future blogs but feel free to add and reshape:

  • “What makes a really great photograph”
  • “What’s the best way to protect my digital photographs”
  • “Types of prints – professional vs mainstream”
  • “Quantity vs Quality – what will survive the test of time”
  • “Best ways to show my photography investment (photo albums, portraits, digital frames, portable devices and more)”
  • “How to preserve wall portraits”
  • “To frame or not to frame – is it really worth it”
  • “How did I do it – behind the scenes coverage and explanations”
  • “Techniques and challenges of photographing infants”
  • “Equipment suggestions – the dreaded Nikon vs Canon dilemma”
  • “The intricacies of Picasa editing and online printing”
  • “The advantages of using external flash guns”
  • “Lights and shadows, how to make great pictures with consumer digital cameras”
  • “The dangers of photographing newborns with consumer cameras”

Please go ahead and leave comments or email me directly if you’d like to add your ideas to the list, they are welcomed and addressed

Your friend, Stanley Nov.
